Mission Statement
Recognizing that development is a complex process that involves nature and nurture, biology and environment, we believe that a comprehensive approach to evaluating children is essential in order to better understand and address their unique needs.
Our primary goal is to work closely with parents, clearly share our thinking about their child and devise, with them, solutions that work for their families.
We recognize the positive power of development and its promise for a better future for the child. We always seek to recognize and facilitate the child’s and family’s strengths and help them see the destination of a better future.
As we strongly believe that “it takes a village to raise a child” we strive to extend our work beyond the isolated cocoon of our offices and collaborate with schools, community and with other professionals.
For Family Compass’s staff, learning is a life-long process. This ongoing learning enables us to understand cutting-edge developments and practices and better help children and families with thoughtful and creative interventions.
We continuously seek input from parents, children and the community to make sure that we stay true to these principles.
